Eighteen months ago, Evynn came down with a debilitating mystery illness that zapped her energy completely and confined her to bed. She would faint often and needed help to do almost anything. Then one night, God gave her a dream about healing her. She came to the YWAM DNA trusting that God would completely heal her. During last Thursday night’s …
Jesus the Refugee
I walk to the edge of the Aegean Sea and look across at the clouded mass that is Turkey. The shores of Lesvos island are littered with tiny jeans, mismatched sandals, and pieces of black inflatable raft. The first time I walked down the beach and saw a pair of little jeans, my prayers turned to sobs as I felt …
Falling in Love with Latvia
by Keisha, DTS Staff The breeze whips my hair all around my face as I walk through a forest of tall, wind-stripped trees. It smells fresh and new outside: like spring rain that has melted away the snow to uncover a blanket of green; like soft earth caked onto the soles of your shoes. I want to breathe it …
Refugee Boat Miraculously Survives Stormy Sea
For the past two weeks, YWAMers gathered in Greece to pray for refugees in Europe. During one prayer time, God gave them a picture of Jesus walking on the sea. Together, they prayed for safe passage across the sea for refugees. They felt sure that Jesus was in the boat with refugees and that He was calming storms as they …

But no matter how hard I tried, it felt like every ounce of hope had been sucked out of me this week. I felt …
Does Prayer Matter?
by Alice, Bible School for the Nations (BSN) student Before I came to YWAM three years ago I had never heard of intercession. (Intercession is praying for others, and especially listening to God as He gives us insight so we can pray more effectively.) It was such an exciting new thing to pray for nations and to receive images and words …
Intercession that Changes the News — Praying for Drug Cartels & A Day without Murder
Yesterday, we (the whole conference) prayed for Juarez, Mexico. Two of our school staff are actually in Juarez right now. Juarez has been rated the most violent city in the world—the gang and drug warfare has gotten so intense, and many innocent people are caught in the crossfire. Seven people are murdered each day there. As we prayed, our hearts broke for the city and the people. We caught a glimpse of God’s broken heart for them, too. We split into groups of seven and each group prayed for a different day of the week. It was a very powerful time of intercession.
