Restoring Kids and Communities

Restoring Kids
c_and_friendfcebeOver the past few weeks, we’ve had the privilege to serve with one of the best children’s homes in Juarez, Mexico – Rancho Los Amigos (RLA). RLA is home to kids from diverse backgrounds of abuse, neglect and abandonment.

Our team served alongside RLA staff, experiencing the real joys and struggles that come with this work. Some of our activities included getting kids ready for school in the morning and bed at night, cleaning, and even planting an educational garden for the children.

Our team also partnered with a feeding ministry hosted by a local church in Juarez.

This ministry provides about 500 meals a week, milk, clothing and a community gathering place where people can experience God’s love. Our team cooked, cleaned, spent time with people, finished a play-set from repurposed wood scraps and prepped a garden to be used by the ministry.

Serving the Least – Mexico’s Tribal People
For the next few weeks we will work amongst the Tarahumara tribe deep in the Sierra Madre mountains. We’re looking forward to running children’s programs, visiting and praying for people in the community and working alongside agricultural and water projects facilitated by long-term missionaries in the area.
