I joined YWAM (Youth With A Mission) after graduating high school in 2015. I’ve been on staff with the Discipleship Training School (DTS). It truly is a privilege to be able to see God work in other people and then also work with Him in their lives! I also love the fact that people come from all over the US and the world to live life together and grow in their walk with God. This gives me an opportunity to love the Nations through these people.

I greatly enjoy the actual outreach (travel) portion during DTS, because this allows me to share God’s love with these same people around the world! I’ve been gifted to love well and to bring joy to the broken and hurt — especially to children. I’m also overly joyed to be able to continue discipling others and loving them as I continue on my walk with God.

Will you join me in being part of what God is doing in the world?

Let me tell you a story about a little boy named Raymond, whom I met in Samoa in 2015. Ray went to the school where we were teaching that summer. He was the oldest of a very poor family and was often sent out to beg rather than go to school regularly.

When I first met Ray, he was stoic. He never smiled and didn’t enjoy hugs or personal attention. He didn’t even flinch when I had to clean an old wound in his knee.  With all the other kids, after I cleaned a wound I would pray for them give them a tight hug. Of course Ray refused at first. But I slipped an arm around his shoulder for a moment. The next day Ray would “secretly” hold my hand for a quick second. As the week went on, he would hug me and jump in my arms and even SMILE! Ray became one of the most loving students there. It blows me away at how a little act of love can change an entire way of living!

I was only able to share love to Raymond because of people like you, people who are called to help spread love.

Thank you!
