My journey with YWAM began in January of 2014 when I did my Discipleship Training School (DTS) in San Francisco. During that time, I heard about the Bible School for the Nations (BSN), which is a course aimed at giving its students an overview of the story of the Bible as well as making them into life long studiers and teachers of the Word.
I took that course in the spring of 2015 at YWAM Madison, and while taking it I felt God stir up a passion within me for the BSN and it’s international outreach, Biblical Education and Leadership Training (BELT), which brings much needed training to churches in remote parts of the world that would otherwise lack access to adequate Biblical education. I love to teach and see others learn, and God showed me the BSN is where He wanted me to use that passion, so I officially joined staff with YWAM Madison in the spring of 2016.
Since I’ve been in YWAM, I’ve done missions work in 9 different countries on 4 continents. I’ve completed 3 YWAM training schools, as well as an apologetics certification course with Biola University. In Madison, I work with and teach in the BSN and lead yearly BELT outreach teams with that school, but I also teach in our DTS programs, help lead worship, cook for our various training schools, lead student outreaches to the homeless, work on the Communications team making changes to our website, and I’m currently exploring options for an apologetics based evangelism ministry in downtown Madison. I love what I do, and all the different ways I get to serve God’s Kingdom here at YWAM Madison!
