My journey with YWAM began in January of 2014 when I did my Discipleship Training School (DTS) in San Francisco. During that time, I heard about the Bible School for the Nations (BSN), which is a course aimed at giving its students an overview of the story of the Bible as well as making them into life long studiers and teachers of the Word.
I took that course in the spring of 2015 at YWAM Madison, and while taking it I felt God stir up a passion within me for the BSN and outreach, Biblical Education and Leadership Training (BELT), which brings much needed training to churches in remote parts of the world that would otherwise lack access to adequate Biblical education. I love to teach and see others learn, and God showed me the BSN is where He wanted me to use that passion. I knew then that I’d be coming on staff with YWAM Madison to help continue the work of the BSN, and I officially began staffing in the spring of 2016.
Since I’ve been in YWAM, I’ve done missions work in 7 different countries on 4 continents. In Madison, I hope to continue working with and teaching in the BSN and lead yearly BELT outreach teams, but I also have a strong desire to help bring hope to the many homeless in the city by building relationship with them on a one-to-one level.
Here’s a video I made showing some of what we did on my DTS outreach!
