Our kids’ Bible study was drawing to a close. My two teammates and I had thoroughly enjoyed teaching and interacting with the kids. Yet we did not expect what happened at the end.
Our translator approached us with one of the student’s parents. “This man was sitting in the back while you taught,” the translator said. “He’s not a believer. But he was very impressed by how you engaged with the kids. He’d like to take you to lunch with his son!”
“We weren’t even going to come this morning,” the father said over lunch. “But I’m so glad we did! I see God so differently now because of your teaching. If I were around Christians like you more often, I think I would become a believer very soon!”
My teammates and I were astounded. We never thought our simple children’s program would affect parents as well!
I was even more amazed at how God was working in this father’s life. God’s constant pursuit drew this man and his son to our children’s program at just the right time. And now, this dad’s heart was stirred to know his heavenly Father!
