About BSN
The Bible School for the Nations (BSN) will immerse you in the story of God, prepare you to teach in a variety of cultures, and build a lifelong foundation based upon the truth found in the Bible.
While reading and studying chronologically through the Old and New Testaments, you will explore topics like God’s nature and character, the Kingdom of God, God’s purpose and design for mankind, and God’s interaction with creation.
Each week we practice engaging with the Bible through stories to better equip ourselves and to prepare for teaching others during the outreach and beyond!
The BSN will help you cultivate understanding that will last a lifetime and nurture a deeper love for God, His word, and His truth. All this will foster a lasting confidence in God’s loving character and how He orchestrates His purposes in Biblical and modern history.
The BSN is geared to equip and train you to:
- Develop a lifelong desire to study the Bible
- See lasting personal change and growth
- Cultivate tools to understand and apply the Bible
- Become an effective communicator in cultures not native to you
- Apply the Bible to all areas of life and society
- Effectively equip and disciple nations
- Understand the overall story of Scripture
A foundation built with the principles and truth of the Bible is essential for bringing transformation and freedom to each personal life and to the nations.
OUTREACH
For the outreach phase, you will apply what you learned in the lecture phase on an overseas internship with YWAM BELT (Biblical Education and Leadership Training). During the BELT outreach, your team will bring biblical training to pastors and churches, especially focused on areas of the world with little to no access to training.
The BELT teaching method uses stories from the Bible to facilitate learning. Stories are relatable and easy to memorize, making the process more effective and multipliable. Armed with the BELT teaching method and growing understanding of the Bible from the lecture phase, you will help equip the church somewhere in the world to help impact their nation with the truth of the Bible!
