|To me, the most exciting thing about God is that NOTHING is beyond His redemption and restoration. My vision is to reach out to those who have been trapped in unjust and unimaginable circumstances (such as survivors of human trafficking, child soldiers, targets of genocide, refugees of war, and victims of natural disasters) and draw them into God’s redemption, to restore their value as human beings, and empower and mobilize them to use their new lives to help others and create change. This is not an easy vision to turn into a reality, but I believe God can bring it to fruition and will give me the privilege of being part of the process. However, I have a LOT to learn. My Master’s in Counseling will give me the knowledge and skills I need to help people who have been through such extreme trauma. Working with YWAM will teach me leadership, teamwork, Biblical knowledge, and give me practical experience in ministry.
I have been on staff since the summer of 2014. Prior to joining staff, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, and Children and Youth Services. While on staff, I have been working towards an online Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Since joining YWAM Madison, my roles have been varied, including Campus Ministry at the Phos House, Community Development Ministry, assorted support staff roles, Bible School for the Nations staff, and helping pioneer a worldview training course.
Since becoming part of YWAM, I have had the opportunity to travel to Turkey, working with Syrian refugees; Moldova, working in human trafficking prevention; and Democratic Republic of the Congo, providing Biblical Education and Leadership Training to community leaders.
I invite you to join with me through prayer and finances in uniting mental health and missions to bring healing and restoration to individuals around the world.
Much love and gratitude,
