MINISTRY ACTIVITIES
In Haiti we have two possible ministry locations, in St. Marc and Jacmel.
YWAM St. Marc
St. Marc is the main operating location of YWAM Haiti. They have a very well-established ministry with years of experience. They have brought transformation to their city in both spiritual and physical ways (establishing a sanitary meat market, garbage collection system and police checkpoints at the entrance to the city). This ministry has a key role in relief on a national level.
Our opportunities here could range from basic medical, construction/demolition, children's ministry to sorting and distribution of relief supplies. YWAM St. Marc has a very secure facility with backup electrical system, water filtration system, internet connection, etc. This group will sleep in dorms, have indoor plumbing/hot water. YWAM staff live on the property.
Orphanage in Jacmel
In 2005, some others from Madison and I met the children at a dilapidated orphanage outside the city of Jacmel. The kids were hungry and lethargic. They had no place to play and slept on mattresses made of cardboard. Since then a close friend from Madison, Mandy Climer, has taken on the orphanage through her ministry Beautiful Child. The orphanage building was badly damaged by the earthquake. Miraculously, there were only two minor injuries. However, the kids are now sleeping in tents in a nearby field (this can be seen in the news link above).
Our group will work with the children, as well as help with the first stages of demolition/reconstruction. The living situation for this group will be rustic - sleeping outside in tents, using outdoor toilets, etc. Food will be basic as well.

$1000-1300
Included in fees:
* Travel - from $650-$800 (including potential overnight en route to PAP and travel to/from Chicago Ohare)
* Haiti Ground Fees (all costs w/in Haiti) - from $380-$500
Not included in fees:

* Meals while traveling - $25-$40
* Internet access in Haiti - $10/person
* Packing list items (you will receive a suggested packing list)
The planned purchase date for airfare will be Friday, Feb. 19. Upon acceptance for the trip, each participant will receive info on how we will make the purchase. The deadline for Haiti ground fees will be Friday, March 12.

We expect your full cooperation and reserve the right to send any participant back to the U.S. at their own expense if necessary.
